I’m thinking it might be time for America to think about an amicable divorce, say to each other, “It was good once but it’s not working anymore. Let’s split the assets fairly and go our separate way.”

Unfortunately it’s probably going to be a War of The Roses divorce complete with pissed on fish.

Only because the divorce will show which states are makers and which are takers. And those red state mooches aren’t going to fare well.

I’d be all for it if it didn’t affect real people. Then again, I’m so pissed at these ignorant teabaggers, I’m half way to Fuck Em.

Even when the Democrats controlled Congress 2008-2010 they failed. Indeed, it was because the Democratic Party controlled Congress failed to have a budget passed that when the GOP took over in 2010 they were able to hobble the President as much as they did.

The bigger question to ask is whether our current Constitutional definition of our legislative branch needs to be reworked. Congress has not added any Representatives in years, even as the population mushroomed.

It’s not clear to me that there will be much of an improvement, perhaps ever. Civilizations more or less just stumble forward, without any grand planning.

I’m in the camp that only about 10-15% of people in both extreme camps want to split. The rest of us really don’t see how that’s possible, or beneficial to either side. If nothing else, it would destabilize the world. Why look for trouble?
